Sanjay Pugalia, age 45 years, is the Editor. He is a journalist with 24 years of experience across leading media organizations, both print and electronic. Prior to joining TV 18 group, he was the News Director at Star News, having helped Star TV make its successful foray in the business of new dissemination in India. He also served as the Executive Editor of Zee News and deputy Executive Producer at Aaj Tak when these channels were evolving only to redefine Hindi TV journalism later on. His earlier experience also includes stints with the Navbharat Times, the Business Standard and BBC Radio. He has covered both political as well as corporate events with utmost ease.
He is a honors graduate in Political Science & History. |

Saurabh Sinha

Saurabh Sinha, age 39 years, is the Consulting Editor. He has been with the channel since June 2005. Prior to joining TV18 Group, he was Senior Executive Producer with Star News, Mumbai, which he re-launched in 2003 in its present avatar. Prior to that, he was Editor with the Zee News from 2001 to 2002. He has also worked as a Senior Producer at the Aaj Tak channel in New Delhi for 4 years. Before joining the Aajtak, he worked for Ananda Bazar Television for one of the most successful business show of that time, Business Breakfast & other news organizations.
He is a Post Graduate in Journalism. |

Alok Joshi

Alok Joshi, age 43 years, is the Executive Producer. He joined TV18 Group in October 2004. Just before joining Awaaz, he was working for BBC World service in London. He was a producer and the main presenter of BBC Hindi radio’s flagship program ‘Aajkal’. Alongside, he was also working on it’s website BBCHINDI.COM. Prior to that he had a long stint in Print and Television in India. He had a six year long association with Aajtak & was part of the original team which launched Aajtak as a 20 minute bulletin in 1995. He worked there in various capacities ranging from script writer, reporter, correspondent, special correspondent, producer and senior producer. He also presented a breakfast business show ‘Business Aajtak’ and a feel good morning show ‘Subah Aajtak.’
He is a Graduate in Ancient India History from Lucknow University. |

Dharmendra Singh, age 41 years, is the Executive Producer (output). Prior to Awaaz, has had 17 enriching years of journalism behind him including print and electronic. He started his career with leading Hindi daily, Navbharat Times. The rigorous training and nuances journalism learnt at the Times helped him nurture his skills at subsequent assignments with TVI, the country’s first private news channel, ZEE News and Sahara News. Prior to joining Awaaz, he was a Senior Producer at Star News. His prime responsibility at Star News included, among others, producing innovative shows like Desh Videsh and CITY 60.
He is a Post Graduate in Journalism from the Times School of Journalism. |

Ashutosh Sinha, age 37 years, is the Deputy Editor. He has been a business journalist for 12 years having worked with publications like Business Standard, Outlook and Business Today. His television career began with business coverage for Star News. He has been with the TV18 Group since December 2004 and is one of the senior anchors with the channel. He has extensively tracked the exponential growth of the Telecom and Information Technology sectors in the country. He currently tracks the gyrations of the stock markets. Another passionate subject is the growth of the emerging new media like the internet and its impact on everyday living.
He is a Post Graduate in Journalism from IIMC, New Delhi. |

Joyneel Mukherjee, age 27 years, is the Equity Markets Anchor and Assistant Editor. He has been working with Awaaz for almost two years now. Prior to this, he worked as a Business Journalist with CNBC TV18 for 5 years. During that stint, he covered various corporates and interviewed the top heads of the biggest corporates in India . He also worked on shows like Stocks at Work , tracking financials of companies and India Business Hour on CNBC.
An Economist by education, he completed his graduation in Economics and Mass Communication from St Xaviers College, Kolkata. |
