Raghav Bahl, 44 years, is the Managing Director of the group. He began his working life as a management consultant with A.F. Ferguson & Co. His second corporate job was with American Express Bank - before he turned to his first love, media. Winner of the Sanskriti Award for Journalism in 1994, Raghav has over 22 years experience in television and journalism. He started his career in media in 1985 as a Correspondent and Anchorperson for Doordarshan. He was the Anchorperson and Production Consultant for India's first monthly video newsmagazine, Newstrack, produced by the India Today group. From 1991 to 1993 he was the Executive Director of Business India Television and produced the Business India Show and Business A.M. on Doordarshan. He has written articles for The Times of India, The Statesman and The Pioneer. Raghav is a member of World Economic Forum (WEF).
He did his Graduation in Economics Honors from St. Stephens College, and then did his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Delhi. He attended a doctoral program at the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University, New York.

Sanjay Ray Chaudhuri, 39 years, is an Executive Director in the group. He started his career as an independent documentary film-maker for Doordarshan. He went on to direct and present India's first indigenously produced show for satellite television, The India Show. He also received the Onida Pinnacle Award for Excellence in Television in 1995. He has also directed quite a few music videos, corporate films, ad films, chat shows, game-shows and business shows for television. He handles programme development and design and looks after the creative and technological aspects of production for TV18.
He is an English Honours Graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi University. He also holds a Degree in Masters in Mass Communications from the Mass Communications Research Centre.

Haresh Chawla, 39 years, is Group CEO of the TV18 Group. He has been in this position since December 1999, when he joined the TV18 Group. Under his leadership and guidance, the TV18 Group has been transformed from a production house to India's No.1 News Network, has grown from a 180 strong team to a 2500+ team and has attained leadership positions in all its ventures in the news broadcasting space - CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN IBN and IBN7. Haresh's previous assignments have all been with start-ups including the HCL Group, where he headed business development for HCL Comnet; ABCL, where he set up the Film Distribution Business, and at the Times of India Group where he launched their music label - Times Music.
Haresh's varied experience of 16 years in media and technology has also enabled the Group to identify Internet spaces that have now achieved leadership positions - moneycontrol.com (Asia's leading financial portal), commoditiescontrol.com (India's leading source for commodity information and research), ibnlive.com (No 1 site for general news), and poweryourtrade.com (subscription-based equity site). This year, the Group has acquired the Indian arm of jobstreet.com (Malaysia-based job portal) and set up Yatra.in (a travel portal) along with Norwest Venture Partners. Recent acquisitions under his leadership include compareindia.com, cricketnext.com & urbaneye.
Under his leadership, TV18 continues to identify new ventures - greenfield and acquired - and hopes to maintain the exponential growth trajectory that it has seen in the last 6 years.
He holds a degree in Business Management from IIM - Calcutta and is also an alumnus of IIT-Mumbai. |

Sameer Manchanda, 44 years, is the Joint Managing Director at GBN, a TV18 Group Company. GBN, a 74:26 joint venture between the TV18 Group and professionals (Rajdeep Sardesai, Sameer Manchanda and Haresh Chawla), has a mandate to launch channels in the general news space. Sameer has bee n instrumental in setting up the company and striking key deals for the channels. Prior to the formation of GBN, he closely associated with NDTV since its inception in 1988. He has considerable and varied experience and expertise in strategic and financial planning, corporate finance, capital structuring and restructuring, funding, business valuations, media sector operations, mergers and acquisitions, collaborations and joint ventures. He has been a member of the Finance Committee of the Indo-American Chambers of Commerce.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. |

Rajdeep Sardesai, 40 years, is the Editor-in-chief. He comes with 17 years of journalistic experience during which he has covered the biggest political stories in India and hosted the popular Television debate show 'The Big Fight'. Prior to setting up his own channels, he was the Managing Editor of both NDTV 24X7 and NDTV India and was responsible for overseeing the news policy for both the channels. He has also worked with The Times of India for over 5 years. He has won numerous awards for excellence, including an Asian Television Award in 1998. He has also been the recipient of 'News Anchor of the Year' award for the last 3 consecutive years.

He has 31 years of related work experience in cash flow planning, budgeting, liaison with banks and financial institutions, handling of public issues, project implementation, taxation, secretarial and other legal matters, MIS etc. Prior to joining TV18, he has worked with BHEL, Trackparts of India Limited, Weston Components Limited and Bestavision Electronics Limited.
He is an Honours Graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and a Chartered Accountant.

Ashutosh, age 40 years, is the Managing Editor. Prior to joining IBN7 he was the member of Aaj Tak, a leading Hindi news channel, for more than ten years.
