Thomas, 37 years, is the Vice President - Operations of Moneycontrol.com.
In this capacity, he is directly responsible for conceptualizing
and structuring of products of development projects. Prior
to joining the TV18 Group, he was the Managing Partner of
Reliable Investment Options - financial services for retail
investors, straddling the gamut of investment options. He
was the executive head of the organization, leading all its
activities and was a successful financial intermediary focusing
on Insurance & Mutual Funds. He also worked with DSJ Communications
where he was responsible for development and execution of
structures and systems for distribution, customer interface
and alternative revenue generation activities. He has over
15 years experience and domain expertise in publishing and
new media.
He is a Graduate from Mumbai University. |

Kumaraswamy, 41 years, is the Editor of Moneycontrol.com.
She alongwith her team have ensured Moneycontrol's place as
India's top business and financial news website, and among
the world's top 100. She comes with 17 years journalistic
experience, which includes 6 years in general and business
dailies such as The Times of India, The Economic Times, and
The Asian Age. Her television experience in TV18 includes
stints as correspondent and subsequently producer of India
Business Report (a business weekly show on BBC), producer
of India Talks (a talk show on the erstwhile ABN), and producer
of Boardroom (a weekly business show on Doordarshan). With
the launch of Moneycontrol.com in, she moved on to handle
news operations of the website.
A Graduate in English Literature from Delhi University, she
has done her Post Graduate diploma in Journalism from the
Times Research Foundation of India. |

Varun Singh,
25 years, is the Editor for Personal Technology. He is one
of the founding members and former editor of Techtree.com.
He started a dial-up BBS called VRNet in 1996, and wrote on
topics like hardware hacking, PC overclocking and Linux for
PC Quest Magazine (India). He did a brief stint as a reviewer
at PC Quest Labs after finishing his schooling. He then moved
to CHIP Magazine to take charge of their Software and Operating
Systems features and reviews. He wrote cover-stories on Windows
ME / XP launches, the Linux vs. MS battle and regularly contributed
to the "Drool Maal" section of the magazine that
focused on high-tech photogenic gizmos and gadgets. His next
move took him to Network Computing Magazine, where he wrote
on areas like Network Management, Communication Protocols,
and Return on Investment in a technology infrastructure. He
also worked as a Chief Implementer for the Network of the
Future showcase at the CTO Forum 2002, building an operational
network for use at the event.
He is a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences. |

CNN-IBN. Prior to joining TV18, he was News Editor of Timesofindia.com,
Times Internet Limited. In the two years he spent at Timesofindia.com,
he was primarily responsible for driving up the traffic to
make the website the No 1 news portal from India in terms
of pageviews. Previously, he was with The Indian Express group
as the Content Editor from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, he
worked with India Today Group Online (ITGO), India Today and
TV Today magazines. Before joining journalism, Tamang had
trained in Tea Husbandry & Field Management Practices
in Assam.
He is an Arts Graduate from Osmania University. |
